Misty Woodward and Independent Artist Angela Josephine have
announced the release of a book entitled "The Spirit of Motherhood:
A Photographic Journey into the Beauty of Pregnancy."
The book is a black and white photographic collection by
Woodward featuring women from around the country in one of
life's most precious times; pregnancy. Included exclusively
with this release is the CD Single titled "The Spirit of Motherhood"
which was written and performed by Christian independent artist
Angela Josephine and recorded in Nashville at Paradiso Music.
"My hope is that with this collection of pregnancy images
I can help to redefine the way society looks at pregnant women,"
Woodward said. "They have a beauty and grace that is
unique to them and should be reveled and appreciated for the
miracle they are a part of. Not just for the miracle of birth,
but for the miracle and beauty that happens to their bodies
while carrying that child. It's simply beautiful."
Josephine has been performing the song at live shows and
has gotten a huge response from women and men alike.
"It always surprises me when a guy comes up and wants
to know how to get the song. I think this book and CD is going
to touch a lot of people," Josephine said. “I am so honored
to be a part of this project and have loved working with Misty.
I respect her vision to communicate the beauty of pregnancy
and raise awareness in this area. The photos are amazing and
I couldn't help but be inspired to write the song!”
